24 hours!!

This is the longest and hardest I've ever worked on a piece... I paid a lot more attention to atmosphere this time, rather than to the main character. It feels good to finally submit it, but it kind of turned out looking a lot busier than I thought it would... I used no references and have no clue how to do water so this is what you get LOL :XD: It is too blue compared to the sky but I like it this way... I tried it with a bluer sky but it doesn't look as cool as a RED one >_<

This picture is inspired a song called Yorokobi, by FictionJunction YUUKA. The dress is what YUUKA wore during her live performance in Yuki Kajiura LIVE #4. I couldn't find a video of the live on youtube, but its even better!

Thanks to :iconstormwave: for her constant encouragement as I was working on this ^_^

I really got into this when I was drawing it... I was listening to the song nonstop and it really cheered me up. I painted most of it with a fever >_< I'm still a little sick but it's better than last night. It feels so miserable, but when I'm painting, I forget all about that :XD: like DRUGS!!

Oh, and those giant black things at the bottom are lilypads =_=

[EDIT] I uploaded a Christmas version (with snow instead of creepy trees!) for printing as greeting cards for myself to use, but if anyone want some, you can get them in my dA print shop :) Here's a preview of what it looks like: [link]
