Acetabularia

Acetabularia is another model organism, used by Hammerling to study the role of the nucleus This is the second in the series after Drosophila [link]

She is a special thing, an anthropomorphic.. ALGAE. If you cut off her feet, the body dies, but a new body will sprout from the feet! Her brain is also located within her feet. If you switch the brain with someone else's, after cutting, then the new body that sprouts will look like whoever the new brain belonged to.

her top and the transparent part of her skirt are made of acetabularia plant which i drew some growing out of the rocks in the background. I also thought that if you cut a piece of acetabularia, you'll get a FAN so I gave her a fan too

I drew this at least a year ago, but I got stuck on it >_< I had colored the head but the rest I had no idea how to progress, and then I started to hate the drawing becuase the anatomy is messed up (i didn't bother to fix it lol) but now... I wanted to do a new cg but I was too lazy to draw >_<
so I finished coloring this

The colors are strange, I never did a cg with all these colors before. I wanted to challenge myself with using green and purple together

This is drawn in pencil and colored mainly with SAI. The pencil drawing is a multiply layer on top of the coloring. I think that makes it look less plastic.
